about me

Hello, friends! My name is Kayla and I am a rising junior at UNC. This blog is dedicated to my summer spent on Summer Project at King's Domain in Oregonia, Ohio. Through an organization called Campus Crusade for Christ, I applied and was accepted to live in Ohio for seven weeks with 26 other college students from various states. During that time, I worked as a camp counselor for kids ages 6-12, most of whom were inner-city Cincinnati kids given the opportunity to spend a week at camp through City Gospel Mission's Whiz Kids tutoring/mentoring program. The first two weeks of camp were spent receiving training for camp and spiritual discipleship/training that lasted throughout the summer, and the final week of Summer Project was "debrief", where we studied how to take what we learned from the summer back to our homes and campuses. The Lord was definitely at work this summer at King's Domain, and I witnessed countless children make the decision to follow Christ. I also grew tremendously in my walk with Christ and am beyond thankful for the experience I had this summer. Thank you for taking the time to check out this blog, and please let me know if you have any questions!

In Him,
Kayla
